A K-12 school located in Anoka, MN is seeking a skilled Behavior Specialist to support students in creating positive learning environments and promoting social-emotional growth. This contract position is for the current school year and provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop individualized behavior intervention plans
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to implement strategies supporting positive behavior
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting plans as needed for successful outcomes
- Provide training and guidance to staff on behavior management techniques
- Support students in developing self-regulation and social skills to enhance academic engagement
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working as a Behavior Specialist within K-12 educational settings
- Knowledge of evidence-based behavior intervention strategies and functional behavior assessment
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and families to support student needs
- Strong communication and data collection skills
- Relevant certification or licensure preferred
